Some times at night I wish I had insomnia so I could simply be kept up by my psychological condition rather than my ever-changing sleep patterns along with my inability to empty my mind once I crawl into bed. Regardless, one of my ideas last night was to start up (another) blog, largely for the purpose of tracking the scribing of my book over the summer for my senior project. Honestly, the whole thing could potentially be a giant undertaking that I’m completely underestimating, but I don’t think I will go as far as publishing the damn thing this summer. Aside from that, I thought I might procure the ‘cann3heat’ tag before anyone else stole it, god forbid. So until then, this blog will just be general hummings about anything and everything.
-Brawl came out the other day. If my ‘adolescent’ years could be summed up in something, a top contender would definitely be its predecessor. I’d venture a guess to say that most people would be ashamed to be first in line for a midnight release of anything, video game or not. I however, feel no shame to say that I indeed was first in line for my local midnight release. Granted, I wasn’t the first to show up, but I did cheat the system to obtain the first spot. So subtract a few cool points for geekyness, but add a few for fucking with the system. I guess.

-Picked up the Juno soundtrack today. I know it’s essentially “Kimya Dawson & Friends!” but I feel I should play my part with the music community every-so-often by throwing down some cash for a tangible CD. I’d listened to the album a handful of times before I deemed it purchase worthy. I think it’s sad that I was most excited for the official ID3 tags and the high-bitrate mp3 files more than anything. I’m somewhat OCD about my iTunes and that’s probably one of the only reasons I buy CD’s now days.
-On the topic of music, there hasn’t been an album I’ve truly been looking forward to for a while that’s come out. Chris Walla’s Field Manual found its way into my iTunes a while back, but after listening to it a number of times, I was everything but happy with it. However, my indie darlings Death Cab for Cutie’s album Narrow Stairs comes out in May and their new single is hitting the tubes on March 18th. The 30-second clip (of the 8:35 long song) sounds like a new vibe for DCfC, especially after Plans. Maybe it’s heading back to more of a Photo Album sound. God only knows.
-Also, my 360 broke. One only knows how little of a life they have until their main form of entertainment is taken from them. At least I’m in better shape now.
